What is FRP, Factory Reset Protection?

FRP, Factory Reset Protection is a security measure introduced to the Android 5.1 (5.0 in some) and beyond. This security ensures that you remain locked out when you factory reset your android device without first removing the Google account connected with the device. In other words, you have to sign in the Google account that was being used on the phone before it was factory resetted.

How to Bypass FRP (Factory Reset Protection) On BlackBerry Priv

If a BlackBerry Priv is factory reset and you get a message similar to this message during setup:

This device was reset. To continue, sign with the Google account that was previously synced on this device.

It means your BlackBerry Priv is locked on FRP which is also called Factory Reset Protection.

Step #1: Put on your BlackBerry Priv.

Step #2: Connect it to a WiFi service.

Step #3: When your BlackBerry Priv shows checking connection and immediately it shows Software Update switch off the router (or your WiFi hotspot Source) so that your BlackBerry Priv will be disconnected.

Step #4: Hit next until you get to the Pattern Lock screen. Setup a pattern lock from there and restart the device.

Step #5: When the phone restarts, it will be locked with the pattern you setup earlier.

Step #6: Open the Dialer button from the lockscreen and dial *#*#4636#*#*. This will take you to the BlackBerry Priv secrete menu.

Step #7: From there, tap Usage Statistics and then, tap the BACK button. This will take you to the Settings.

Step #8: Now, scroll down to backup and reset.

Step #9: Reset your BlackBerry Priv. When this is complete, the phone will restart and there will be no need to enter previous Google account again.
