Here, I discuss how to flash Qualcomm android devices using Tool Studio eMMC download tool.
Flashing Qualcomm Android Devices Using Tool Studio eMMC Download Tool
1. Download ToolStudio eMMC Download Tool from your ABC Package folder here. Once downloaded, decompress the ZIP File on a folder on your PC and then, launch the setup contained in that folder as Admin.2. Open the text file contained in the same folder as the setup file. It contains the password for Tool Studio eMMC Download Tool. Copy the password and paste it where Tool Studio eMMC download tool asks/prompts for password and click OK.
3. Download and install your Qualcomm android devices drivers on your PC. If your device has been bricked, you must download and install Qualcomm QDLoader HS USB Bulk drivers too. Download Qualcomm QDLoader HS USB Bulk Drivers from here.
4. Download the Stock Firmware for your Qualcomm android device. NOTE: Tool Studio can flash .mbn and .bin files with .xml file map only.

5. If the firmware you downloaded is compressed in a .zip or .rar file, decompress/unzip the firmware you downloaded in a folder on your PC.
6. Now, on Tool Studio, click browse and navigate to the folder where you unzipped the firmware and select it.
7. To view the phone's partitions contained in that firmware and select which ones are to be flashed, click Advance. And the next Window will display all the partitions.
Mark the ones you wish to flash or Select All.
8. Now, connect the phone to the PC. Make sure you remove the battery from the phone and insert it again. If the phone has a sealed battery, simply put off the phone.
9. Wait few seconds, then click Refresh. Tool Studio should display the connected device and its COM Port.
10. Now, click Start All or Start to begin the flashing operation. The flashing operation should not take more than 5 minutes. When the flashing operation is complete, Tool Studio will fill the progress bar with GREEN ink and you may then disconnect the device from the PC.
Possible Issues with Tool Studio eMMC Download Tool
As common with every other flash tools, there are certain errors and issues which are common with Tool Studio eMMC Download Tool. Below here, I discuss three (3) of the commonest issues you might encounter while using Tool Studio to flash or debrick any Qualcomm android device and how to resolve each of the issues.1. Tool Studio eMMC Error: can't find ram

i. When Tool Studio displays the error "can't find ram", click Advance to display the list of the partitions contained in the firmware. If the RAM section is fade, check to make sure that RAM is present in that firmware folder.
ii. It is also possible that the RAM file is present but it is not named in the format Tool Studio recorgnises. The RAM should be named as: MPRG8936mbn or something similar. If you have the RAM file in that firmware folder, simply rename it accordingly.

i. Tool Studio eMMC Download Tool displays "wait for ram mode failed" if; 1. The RAM file in that firmware is not for that phone. 2. The phone's eMMC partition is corrupt/damaged. Try another firmware/ram or consider replacing your eMMC.
SOLUTION:
-
i. Ensure that boot image file is present in that firmware.
ii. Ensure that the boot image file is named in a format Tool Studio recorgnises e.g 8936_msimage.mbn. If boot image is present in the firmware but not named rightly, simply rename it.

DeleteKDZ/TOT files don't have either programmer files, patch0.xml or rawprogram0.xml contained in them. You have to create/get these files for LG G4. By the way, Tool Studio cannot be used to KDZ/TOT files neither can these files get your LG G4 out of the HS-USB 9008 mode which it is currently.
Anyways, may I know your exact variant of LG G4? I believe I can help/provide you the right unbrick file for LG G4.

The error "Cannot find valid disk" is mostly associated with dead MMC. It is very likely that your Huawei C8816D eMMC is corrupted and dead. You will need to create a live suit SD Card to revive your phone.

If no partition is shown, it means your MMC/eMMC is corrupt. Your only option is to create a live-card for the phone. The card may then be used to boot the phone.

ReplyDeleteThis method will not work without your firmware .xml file. Meanwhile, if your reason for the downgrade is to re-unlock the bootloader, you may use Oppo official bootloader unlock page and unlock your bootloader from there.

do you know if the bootloader has the S check lock on ??? If not unpack the .kdz to bin partitions and map each partition to a microSD card partitions using a tool called EMMCRAW Tool v1.4 or 1.3.
DeleteNote : do not flash the laf.bin and any of the system partitions anything else flash one partition at the time starting with the partition table file (PrimaryGPT_0.bin) after you flash this file on your MicroSD using the mentioned ubove, your SD card become partitioned , so load each bin in to the corespondent partition name and ignore partition laf.bin and any of the system bins.
After finishing with the eMMCRAW tool take the microSD and put it in your phone and cross your fingers, and hold volume up and keep pressing power fastboot loads then search any cw recovery .img file and ADB drivers and install the ADB drivers on window and from there at the prompt type:
Fastboot boot CW.img and you should see recovery on your phone and from there restore factory image using the recovery options.

ReplyDeleteIs there any .xml file in your extracted firmware? It none exist in that folder, you need to get a firmware that contains your exact xml. If it does exist, rename the file to the format identifiable to Tool Studio eMMC Tool.

Hey @ArykTECH I have a Hard bricked Moto E(xt-1022) the brick was caused due to an OTA update...it only flashes LED once when connected to Power or PC....I have checked even in XDA Forums...they don't have the Programmer.bin for Moto E yet...And the only way to Unbrick the phone is to flash eMMC using J-tag box.....which I don't have and is not available anywhere near me....so I request you to help me with this.

I have 3 Coolpad dazen1, which were all hard brick.. I tried many things to unbrick but no good news at all.. I have no additional hardware to JTAG..
I have tried several time with different MPRG8916 (collected from other ROM and from the net) using this software but all I got was "download MPRG8916.mbn failed".. The main reason i think is that the MPRG8916.mbn is not the correct one for coolpad dazen1(8298L I00), because in the firmware of dazen1, MPRG8916.mbn and 8916_msimage.mbn is not present. Still searching and try to get those two bootloader file.. I hope I can make 8916_msimage.mbn(not MPRG8916.mbn) with qpst but not sure.. I would be thankful if you could help me to get the correct one.. Or can you advice me to edit MPRG8916.mbn for dazen1.

Tool Studio eMMC Download Tool requires that you install Netframework 4.5 or above on your PC. Unless you install it, it Tool Studio will not run.

I have a HUAWEI G620S UL00, a few months ago they did a wipe system. So it does not pass the logo and I have the bootloader blocked, I can not activate the USB debugging. I followed their instructions and downloaded the drivers, the computer sounds when I connect the cell phone, but it is not recognized by Tool Studio eMMC Download Tool nor appears as a removable disk in the computer. Does your Huawei G620S boot still? Is it still stuck at the boot logo? Shine more light on it so I can understand better.
