How to Remove Factory Reset Protection On Samsung Android Device (FRP)

Here in this tutorial, I explain the step by step logic you can apply to remove Factory Reset Protection (FRP) on your Samsung android devices. What is FRP, Factory Reset Protection?

FRP, Factory Reset Protection is a security measure introduced to the Android 5.1 (5.0 in some) and beyond. This security ensures that you remain locked out when you factory reset your android device without first removing the Google account connected with the device. In other words, you have to sign in the Google account that was being used on the phone before it was factory resetted.


How to Bypass FRP (Factory Reset Protection) On Samsung Android

If a Samsung android device is factory reset and you get this message during setup:

This device was reset. To continue, sign with the Google account that was previously synced on this device.

It means the device is locked on FRP which is also called Factory Reset Protection. Note that this is different from Samsung Reactivation Lock.


Step #1: Download a firmware specific for that Samsung android device. This firmware must be an old firmware preferably, those firmware from December 2015 and below. You can download Samsung firmware from Sammobile.com

Step #3: After flashing the phone, disconnect the phone from the PC and turn it on.


Step #4: Now, download SideSync on your PC.


Step #5: Open SideSync and then connect your Samsung android device to the PC.


Step #6: A menu will appear on your screen, choose Browser >> Internet Browser.


Step #7: From the browser, go to alnajat.co. Download and install the apk on your Samsung android.

Step #8: Finally, open Settings.apk and perform a factory reset from there.


Alternative Method to Remove FRP Lock On Samsung

Continue from Step #8 above,


1. Go to Security and set a PIN for the phone lock. It should be 0000.

2. Go to Other Security Settings >> Trusted Agents and turn off Google Smart Lock.

3. Go to Easy Mode and select it.

4. Go back to Settings.apk and select Standard Mode.

5. Keep repeating the steps 3 and 4 until the home screen appears when you choose normal mode.

6. Now, go to Google Play, enter your PIN (0000) and setup a new Google account.

7. Restart the phone once completed. Now go to Settings >> Accounts and remove the Google account.


Congratulations! You have now successfully removed FRP Lock on your Samsung android device. You can confirm this by booting the phone to Download Mode where you will see that FRP Lock staus is OFF.
