Errors & Solutions: Qualcomm Devices Hardbrick Unbrick Methods

Hello Guys:

Welcome to ArykTECH. And yes. Thank you for coming here.

PLEASE READ THIS PAGE THROUGH AS THAT WILL ENABLE YOU UNBREAK YOUR DEVICE WITH LESS HUSTLES.

As you may have known, Qualcomm hardbrick issues is one of the commonest issues we are facing in the community with Motorola and LG devices leading in the issues thread line.

Due to our heavy demands and busy schedules, we have decided to compile some helpful tips that will make unbricking your Qualcomm powered android devices easier and almost hustle-free using our unbrick files as may be provided in our unbrick projects folders for each device.

NOTE:

The points we have listed here were issues tendered and attended by some clients/followers who have used our unbrick files therefore, if these tips do not solve your issue, use our feedback form here to submit your own issue(s).
Please, try to be detailed in your feedback messages.

Mostly, in our unbrick projects, we provide loader, Blankflash and QFIL files; any of which could be used to recover hardbricked Qualcomm devices therefore, we have compiled and provided solutions to issues reported (in all) on this single page.

Unbrick Method #1 Loader File Method

The loader.img file is an extract of the device ROM dumped and compressed in an image (disk image) format so that it can be flashed on supported SD Card or disk.

Once flashed on an SD Card, turns the SD Card to a bootable partition that can be mounted by supported devices so that the device can be detected by the PC for further repair.

Below here, we have a list of reported issues encountered by the loader.img file method users and how we have helped correct and revive the devices.

#1 Reported Issue: Phone Vibrates with SD Card Inserted

If after flashing the appropriate loader.img file on your SD Card, inserted the SD Card in your device and the device fail to boot to either download mode or fastboot mode but instead viberate, we have some recommendations for you below here:

    Recommendations:
  • Ensure that you use the same SD Card size as your device built-in memory. Thus, if your device has 32Gb built-in, 32Gb SD Card size is recommended.
  • Make sure that you have used a really fast class 10 SD Card. See our SD Card recommendations here.

#2 Reported Issue: Device Listed As Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 In Device Manager Still

We have known 2 major reasons for this; if after flashing the appropriate loader.img file on your SD Card, inserted the SD Card in your device and the device is still displayed as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 in the PC device manager. And below here, we have some recommendations for you:

    Recommendations:
  • Confirm that the SD Card is formatted in the recommended format. Rember: exFAT is the recommended format.
  • Make sure that you have used a really fast class 10 SD Card. See our SD Card recommendations here.
  • Also, confirm that the loader.img file you have used is for your device variant. NOTE: LG G4-H810 Loader.img file cannot work for LG G4-H15.

#3 Reported Issue: Phone Hangs On Bootlogo / Endless Booting

This is simple! If you insert an SD Card that has been flashed / has your device Loader.img file loaded on it and when you attempt to boot the device, it hangs on boot logo; this simply implies that your SD Card is not fast enough -probably not a class 10 SD Card.

    Recommendations:
  • Try with another class 10 SD Card. You can check our SD Card recommendations section for tips.

#4 Reported Issue: No Sign of Live Nor Seen In Device Manager

If after inserting an SD Card that has been flashed with appropriate Loader.img file in your device, the device appears to have no sign of live nor is it seen or listed in device manager, here is what to do:

    Recommendations:
  • Ensure that you use the same SD Card size as your device built-in memory. Thus, if your device has 32Gb built-in, 32Gb SD Card size is recommended.
  • Make sure that you have used a really fast class 10 SD Card. See our SD Card recommendations here.

#5 Reported Issue: Phone Takes too Long to Boot up

If this happens after inserting the SD Card in your device, be sure that the SD Card is not suitable for the trick and it won't work.

    Recommendations:
  • Since this trick uses the Qualcomm EDL, it requires a disk, an SD Card that is as fast as the device ROM or close to it therefore, you need to try with another SD card.

#6 Reported Issue: Phone Enters Fastboot Screen Instead

This is usually not an issue with Motorola devices rather, for LG, Samsung and other similar devices, it is an issue.

    Recommendations:
  • Using fastboot command, from CMD, while the device is still connected to the PC; reboot the device. Hold on while the device reboots. It should enter DL Mode at once.

Unbrick Method #2 QFIL Method

Provided you have the appropriate files, QFIL is one of the simplest tools for flashing Qualcomm android devices that which I think you'll agree to if you are familiar with using QFIL.

Though QFIL is easy to use, we have had some reported issues and below here, we have a list of reported issues encountered by the QFIL method users and how we have helped correct and revive the devices.

#1 Reported Issue: Incessant (Re)Connection Sound

This is the commonest issue that's reported by those using the QFIL files in the unbrick project folder. If you're having similar issue, here are our recommendations:

    Recommendations:
  • Check your USB Port and the USB Cord/Cable. You can also switch or try with different ports / cable / cord.
  • Ensure that you have the complete and latest Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader drivers installed.
  • If having confirmed both USB Port (on the PC) and the USB Cord to be fine, check to confirm your device USB Port, too.

#2 Reported Issue: Sahara Fail Error

QPST QFIL Sahara Fail Error is a common error that usually occur as a result of varying circumstances. If you encounter this error, here is what to do:

    Recommendations:
  • Locate your QPST log.txt file and send it to our mail, facebook or via our IM Channels.
  • Alternatively, you can copy the entire QFIL screen and send it to us by pasting it on your chat screen with us (via Telegram or Whatsapp).

#3 Reported Issue: File Not Found Error Message

If this or any other similar error message pops, it simply means that the file(s) is not present in the firmware folder. See the recommendations below:

    Recommendations:
  • In most cases, QFIL looks for an exact file name, you'll just have to look in the firmware folder for a similar file name and rename it/them accordingly.
  • You can send the screenshot of the file name(s) to us via facebook or our IM Channels.

#4 Reported Issue: Device Not Detected By QFIL / HS-USB Bulk Error

If you are having this issue, you simply have to install the complete latest Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader drivers on your PC. Here is our recommendation

Unbrick Method #3 Blankflash Method

Blankflash method is specifically meant for Motorola devices. If you have any issues with using Blankflash files provided in any of the device unbrick project, simply copy the entire Blankflash CMD window and send it to us via facebook or any of the IM Channels (Whatsapp or Telegram). You can also attach the log.txt file found in the Blankflash folder and send it across to us.
