
Download Firmware Utility tool, DFU Tool for short, is a simple yet sophisticated Broadcom device service tool that is used to flash, upgrade, download and or unbrick Broadcom devices. Using the DFU Tool, you can load stock ROM firmware on Broadcom android devices.
In this tutorial, I discuss the steps involved in how to flash Broadcom android devices using the DFU tool. NOTE: be informed that this method will reset your Broadcom android device to its factory default settings therefore, if need be, you should backup your phone's data including contacts, messages, call logs and other contents.
How to Flash Stock ROM Firmware Using Broadcom Download Firmware Utility (DFU) Tool
1. Download and install Broadcom device drivers for Windows PC on your computer. You can download Broadcom device drivers from here. Note: You may SKIP this step if you have installed Broadcom device drivers on your PC already.
2. Download Broadcom Download Firmware Utility (DFU) tool on your PC. You can download Broadcom Download Firmware Utility (DFU ) tool from here. Once downloaded, extract the file onto a folder on your PC.
3. Download the broadcom stock firmware you wish to flash on your device. If the firmware is in a .zip, .rar or any compressed file format, unzip/decompress it onto a folder on your PC.
4. Now, Power Off your android device.





10. While your Broadcom device is still Powered off, connect it to the PC.

You may have to Press either the Volume Down or Volume Up key before DFU tool is able to detect and connect the phone.
12. Hold on until the flashing operation is complete and the Finish message is displayed. You have just successfully flashed your Broadcom android device using Donwload Firmware Utility (DFU) tool.
