LG G4 Unbrick with Loader.img file

If you have a bricked LG G4 that's stuck at Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 mode, you can unbrick the LG G4 using the loader.img file. This loader.img file method is especially useful if you want to unbrick your LG G4 using the official LG Flash Tool method and save yourself the stress of dealing with QPST QFIL, Tool Studio eMMC Download Tool or Mi Flash Tool method of unbricking Qualcomm powered devices which might be too tedious for you.

In this guide, I provide you with all the information required to unbrick your LG G4 and most of the tools needed. All you have to do is follow the step by step guides and bring an end to the QHS-USB QDLoader 9008 brick state your LG G4 has been for days.

File Download Link(s) Description
LG Bridge SKIP this if installed already. LG Bridge is LG's official service and support tool for more recent LG mobile phones. The LG Bridge is launched to replace LG Flash Tool. This tool will be used to download and flash official LG Stock ROM firmware on your LG G4.
LG PC Suite This tool is similar to LG Bridge whose download link has been given just above here only that the LG PC Suite now works better with older LG phones. Use this if you don't understand or cannot work with LG Bridge.
DiskImageRev2 DiskImageRev2 is the utility tool that will be used to flash the loader.img file on your SD Card and this in turn, will make your SD Card bootable so that when inserted in your LG G4, your device can boot from it.
LG G4 Loader.img This turns your SD Card to a bootable partition that can be mounted by your device so that LG Bridge or similar tool can detect your device and flash official stock firmware on it.
Your SD Card For your LG G4, get either 8GB or 16GB SD Card. - the later is recommended.

The Does and Does Not of this Method
The Does The Does Not
With the correct LG G4 Loader.img file, you will be able to access your LG G4 recovery partition again. The LG G4 Loader.img file ONLY boots your device to recovery mode and not the OS.
This method aid your LG G4 unbrick solutions. It's not the do-it-all. This LG G4 Loader.img file will not boot your device to OS. You need full firmware to do that.
This Loader.img file only loads LG Stock Recovery partition on your device. This Loader.img file does not currently load custom recovery such as TWRP on your LG G4 therefore, only Stock Firmware can be restored to using the method described above.
The SD Card (used) helps boot the device into receovery mode ONLY. You cannot use the same SD Card with the device except you format it. You can use Mini Tool to Partition or format the SD Card for re-use.

Troubleshoot! Having Issues Using this Method? See Below:
Issue(s) Solution(s)
LG Bridge successfully restored my device but my LG G4 still boots to recovery. What can I do? Before you boot up the phone or while the phone boots up, make sure you remove the SD Card from the phone.
The PC no longer see my LG G4 in Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader mode. What's wrong? Until the SD Card is in your phone, PC will continue to seeing the phone as functioning properly but only with flat battery.
My LG G4 is stuck at boot logo instead of booting to recovery. What can I do? Try another SD Card. You must use a first class grade one SD Card that's really fast.
My LG G4 is in recovery mode but LG Bridge or LG PC Suite does not detect it. Is something wrong? Yes. Something is wrong. Check your USB Cord, USB Port or make sure that your drivers are properly installed. With each instance, you can try with another device to confirm.
